Karen Cortell
Reisman would have been her high
school's valedictorian, if it were not
for a B in Home Economics due to lumpy
blueberry muffins. But she hasn't
stopped speaking since. For the past
14 years Karen has run a company
called Speak For Yourself ®, a firm
dedicated to helping organizations
communicate with trust, authenticity,
and professionalism.
Karen writes a
monthly column for the Woman
Dentist Journal titled “Building a
Better You.” She is writing a book
titled “Einstein: A Relative’s
Theory -- 22 Ways to Communicate
Like A Genius”, and she has
authored many articles for national
magazines. Karen has spoken in 31
states and in Germany.
Clients include
the American Heart Association, Nortel
Networks, Pizza Hut, General Electric,
Elk, Fannie Mae, and The Staubach
Company. Karen has a summa cum laude
Masters Degree in Human Relations and
Management.
Whether it’s
through a keynote, an all-day
workshop, or 1:1 coaching sessions,
Karen’s audiences walk away knowing
how to speak to win and speak to
sell. She also presents a keynote
about her cousin Albert Einstein that
teaches audiences how to overcome
obstacles with hope, humor, and
dignity.
Karen has been an
active member of the National Speakers
Association (NSA) for over 10 years.
The recording of a recent speech by
Karen to her colleagues at an NSA
Convention became one of the top ten
bestsellers.
