In 2007 Nalls
founded VYBRANZ, a
company assisting
businesses to
significantly lower
costs in areas such
as Energy, IT,
Telecom, HR,
Customer Care, and
Administration. His
team of highly
trained experts
joins with valuable
partners and
advanced technology
to work closely with
management to change
the cost structure
without impacting
customers and
employees.
He also started
MASERGY in 2000,
Nalls recognized
that the same
technology available
to service providers
could also be used
by enterprise
customers to make
service provisioning
easy and immediate.
As a result, MASERGY
pioneered the market
for
customer-controlled
intelligent networks
and global Ethernet
service for voice,
video and data.
Under Nalls’
leadership, MASERGY
grew its customer
base to more than
400 enterprises in
50 states and 40
countries worldwide
and has achieved
average quarterly
revenue of 30
percent for 18
consecutive quarters
and EBITDA-positive
performance since
2006. In 2007,
prior to stepping
down as the CEO, the
Company reached a
run-rate revenue of
$100M annually and
reached positive net
income and positive
cash flow.

industry, he has
consistently focused
the company’s
technology,
processes and people
on defining customer
needs and exceeding
customer
expectations.
His leadership and
dedication to
MASERGY has garnered
recognition within
the Texas technology
community as well as
in the national
business sector for
its success in a
competitive telecom
service sector. As
the Ernst & Young
“Entrepreneur of the
Year” in Technology
for the Southwest
Area-North, Nalls
represented North
Texas at the
national award
celebration in Palm
Springs in 2007.

“Inc. 500” and the
Deloitte “Technology
Fast 500” in 2007
for its impressive
financial and
technology
performance. Nalls
is working closely
with Harvard
Business School to
prepare a case study
based on his
entrepreneurial
endeavors. His
career will be used
as a study for new
MBA students to be
debuted in the 2009
curriculum.
During his career,
Nalls has spoken at
investor and
industry events to
foster an open and
ongoing dialogue of
technology issues
and challenges
within the industry,
including Comdex,
Interop, CIO
Enterprise Value,
Polycom User Group,
SuperComm,
Telepresence World
and VoiceCon.
Throughout his
career Nalls
fostered a corporate
culture that
encourages employee
empowerment through
initiatives like
monthly “Smoke
Signal” call, in
which employees
worldwide interact
with Nalls and other
executives via video
conference to raise
issues and receive
updates on company
challenges and
successes. He also
gathers his team
frequently to build
trust, foster pride
and strengthen
teamwork through
company training
programs and
executive retreats
that reinforce
discussions and
planning with indoor
and outdoor physical
team challenges.
Because benefiting
the local community
is a professional
and personal
priority for Nalls,
he created Global
Volunteer Day for
employees to spend
company time in
joint civic
volunteer programs.
The Dallas location
has made an annual
event of helping
renovate the Denton
State School each
holiday season.
Nalls serves on the
board of advisors
for the Global
Nomads, a non-profit
organization
dedicated to
heightening
children's
understanding and
appreciation for the
world and its
people. And in 2007,
Nalls raised more
than $70K along with
5 other climbers at
the 19,340-foot
summit of Mount
Kilimanjaro during
the annual “Climb
for Sight”
expedition,
sponsored by the
Volunteer Optometric
Services to Humanity
of Pennsylvania, to
reduce avoidable
blindness by
empowering, training
and equipping eye
care doctors for
pediatric
sight-saving
surgeries in
Guatemala.
Prior to starting
VYBRANZ,
Nalls founded and
was the CEO of
Masergy. He also
held senior
management positions
in sales and
marketing at Epoch
Internet and GTE.
Among his
accomplishments are
creating the Telecom
industry’s first DSL
proof of concept
trial, building and
managing the
business product
suite for GTE’s
national Competitive
Local Exchange
Carrier, and
managing the first
business long
distance program for
a major ILEC.
Nalls holds a
master of business
administration from
Southern Methodist
University and sits
on the boards of
Volunteer Services
Council of the
Denton State School
and Global Nomads
Organizations.
