recognized by

Companies. He
has broad CEO,
board-level,
management, and
advisory
experience in
managed care
operations and
strategy, health
insurance,
consumer-driven
health care,
pharmacy
benefits,
disease
management,
medical
information
technology,
medical group
management,
network and PPO
operations,
health benefit
design &
pricing, health
insurance
underwriting,
community rating
issues, and
health service
product
development and
marketing.
He has been
widely
recognized as a
benefits and
financial expert
in the managed
care and
pharmacy
benefits arena.
Mr. Hyde was a
consulting
manager with
Ernst & Young,
where he
established the
federal
government’s
standards for
fiscal soundness
for HMOs seeking
federal
financial or
regulatory
assistance. He
later served as
the federal
government’s
chief HMO
financial
regulator with
the DHHS Office
of HMOs, where
his
responsibilities
included HMO
rate regulation.
Steve received
his MBA from
Harvard Business
School and his
BA in Financial
Administration
“With High
Honor” from
Michigan State
University. He
was certified as
an HMO actuary
by the Colorado
Commissioner of
Insurance. He
lives in
Colorado
Springs.
