Charles L. Gummer is
chairman of the Comerica
Bank-Texas Division. He
also serves as a member
of the Management Policy
Committee and Senior
Leadership Team.
Mr. Gummer joined
Comerica Bank in
Michigan in 1970. He
held management
positions in the
commercial loan, middle
market banking and
metropolitan corporate
banking departments.
When Comerica
Incorporated acquired
Grand Bancshares of
Dallas in 1988, Mr.
Gummer joined Grand
Bancshares' executive
management team and its
board of directors. He
was appointed president
and chief executive
officer of Comerica
Bank-Texas in 1989. He
was named to his current
position effective July
31, 2010.
Mr. Gummer received a
Bachelor of Science
degree from Ohio State
University in 1969 and
an MBA from Wayne State
University in 1973. He
graduated from the
University of Michigan's
Graduate School of
Banking and Financial
Services in 1983.
Mr. Gummer currently
serves as a member of
the Dallas Summer
Musicals executive
committee, Board Member
of Downtown Dallas,
Executive Board of the
Southern Methodist
University Cox School of
Business, the Better
Business Bureau of
Dallas Board, the
Advisory Board of the
Vogel Alcove Arts
Performance Committee
(he and his wife, Cindy,
are co-chairs of the
2011 Vogel Alcove Arts
Performance Event),
